Advocating for cultural heritage
My work is dedicated to preserving the cultural heritage of my ancestors and the Hindustani immigrant community. As the child of parents who were born in Suriname and migrated to the Netherlands, I carry a deep responsibility to honor and promote our rich history.
I give speeches that highlight our cultural heritage and significant historical events, ensuring that the unique contributions of the Hindustani community are recognized and celebrated.
This initiative focuses on collaborating with Stichting Eerherstel Marienburg, where I advocate for the fallen victims of the tragic historical events at Marienburg in the name of cultural preservation.
I strive to sustain our cultural legacy for future generations of Hindustani youth by sharing our history and reminding them of the sacrifices our ancestors made for a better life. Through this work, I hope to instill a sense of pride and responsibility in the younger generation, ensuring that our heritage continues to thrive.

Advocating for Permanent Residence
My brother and I are advocating for family reunification for Surinamese elders (gezinshereniging).
We began our journey by starting a petition to raise awareness about the need for policy changes, allowing Surinamese elders to reunite with their families in the Netherlands permanently.
